How to clean browser cache?

If your work orders aren't displaying correctly or you're seeing outdated information, clearing your cache can help resolve the issue.

How to Use:

1. Click on your User Profile icon (top right)

2. Go to Settings

3. Navigate to Account → Data & Performance

4. Click the Clear Cache button

5. Confirm in the dialog box

6. Wait for the success message


Why Clear Cache?

Infodeck stores work order data locally for 10 minutes to improve performance. Sometimes this cached data can become outdated, causing:

• Missing recently created work orders

• Incorrect work order counts

• Old data appearing after updates

• Filters not working properly


Alternative MethodsQuick Solution - Force Refresh

Try this if the built-in Clear Cache button doesn't resolve your issue:

Windows:Press Ctrl + Shift + R

Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + R


Clear Browser Cache (Last Resort)

Only use these methods if the above solutions don't work:Google Chrome:

1. Click the three dots menu (â‹®) in the top right

2. Select Settings

3. Click Privacy and security → Clear browsing data

4. Select time range: Last hour or Last 24 hours

5. Check Cached images and files

6. Click Clear data

7. Refresh Infodeck page


Microsoft Edge:

1. Click the three dots menu (â‹®) in the top right

2. Select Settings

3. Click Privacy, search, and services

4. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear

5. Select time range: Last hour or Last 24 hours

6. Check Cached images and files

7. Click Clear now8. Refresh Infodeck page


Safari (Mac):

1. Click Safari in the menu bar

2. Select Preferences

3. Click Advanced tab

4. Check Show Develop menu in menu bar

5. Close Preferences

6. Click Develop → Empty Caches

7. Refresh Infodeck page


Firefox:

1. Click the menu button (☰)2. Select Settings3. Click Privacy & Security4. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data5. Check Cached Web Content6. Click Clear7. Refresh Infodeck page


Clear Infodeck-Specific Cache (Advanced Users)

For developers or advanced users:

1. Open Developer Tools (F12)

2. Go to Application tab (Chrome/Edge) or Storage tab (Firefox)

3. Click Local Storage on the left

4. Find your Infodeck domain

5. Look for these keys and delete them: • workOrderCache • workOrderCacheTimestamp • lastCacheClear • Any keys containing: Cache, infodeck, workOrder, asset, location

6. Refresh the page


Still Having Issues?

If clearing cache doesn't resolve the issue:

1. Try the built-in Clear Cache button first (if you haven't already)

2. Log out of Infodeck completely

3. Clear all browsing data (not just cache)

4. Log back in

5. Check your date filters - the default shows only work orders due ±30 days from today


Prevention Tips

• Use the built-in Clear Cache button in user settings when needed

• Use the Refresh button in Infodeck to get latest data

• Check the last updated timestamp in the work order list

• If you see "Loaded X work orders from cache", the data might be outdated

• Browser name and version

• Screenshot of the issue

• Number of work orders expected vs displayed

• Whether you tried the built-in Clear Cache button

• Any error messages in the browser console (F12 → Console tab)
